A Sunny Saturday Project

Spa Space

Oh hi again (almost one year later)!  Geez, I have these ideas that I want to do, but my technology non-existent know-how overwhelms me and apparently it takes me a year to get over it and try again...sorry.

Anywho, I'm decorating my little sugaring room, and so far, all I have done is paint the walls and ceilings my favorite white (Falling Snow by Behr), add some shelf legdes which have been very handy, and put down wipeable interlocking floor tiles.  I have to work with the oak-y trim and doors because it's a rental, oh well.  It really could go any style direction so I am curious what environment you prefer in a spa-type room?  I use the term "spa" loosely for my  business because  when I hear the word "spa", I instantly think calm, relaxing, soothing.  Hair removal (what I do) is none of those, ha!

Obviously, clean is a must and nothing freaky like weird dolls or taxidermy (sorry if you are into those, I don't mind some antlers myself, but not necessarily a good look for a spa room, in my opinion:) Here are several looks that I found, let me know which one is your favorite or what setting makes you the most comfortable!

*All images from my Pinterest page, I will see if I can find the original sources.

Happy Labor Day weekend!

Thanks so much for visiting!  Talk to you in a year or so (just kidding...I hope!):)

Joining the Blogosphere!

Well hello there!  This is my first ever post on my first ever blog!

When I mentioned to my amazingly supportive and helpful hubby that I was thinking of adding a blog to my website, he immediately set it up for me, so all I had to do was hit "add new post" and type away...that was two months ago.

Something about the beginning of fall rejuvenates me and  I'm feeling motivated to get my first post under my belt so the following ones don't seem so intimidating.  That being said, this one is more of a "test post" and will probably not be enlightening or anything especially great or informative (sorry).  But I'm still considering it a success since I finally stopped procrastinating (which if it was a sport, I would medal in every time).

I'm a big time blog reader (more like picture looker), everything from home design, fashion, makeup, celebrity blogs, love them all!  I also have become addicted to Pinterest. It's really helped me hone in on my decor and personal style. I also love watching makeup and skincare tutorials and review videos on YouTube.  Blogs, Pinterest and YouTube are all visual, so I promise that I won't write long, arduous posts (except this one) and will always include some lovely eye candy (a.k.a. photos).  Some of my favorite blog posts are those with just one or two beautiful images and a quick note, I find it inspiring and motivating.

Of course I'll be writing about skincare and sugaring because that is my site and my business (hello), but I think it will be fun to write about lifestyle topics too, decorating, holidays, kids :), whatevs.  If there is anything you'd like me to post about, feel free to leave a comment and I'll see what I can do!

See? I already feel like this is too wordy, so I'm going to end this ramble. I feel bad leaving you without a picture, because I promised didn't I? So, here you go:

Thanks so much for visiting and I will post again very soon (piece of cake, what was I worried about, right?)

Have a lovely day!
